Need a soundtrack to self-isolation? Bearcubs has you covered. The Berlin based musician Bearcubs has released his latest single, ‘Screentime’. The single is lifted from his upcoming second album, Early Hours which will be available on 15 May via Independently Popular.

“Since moving away from England I’ve been thinking a lot about communication and connection, especially with my friends spread out in different places across the world, as the only way to contact them was through messages or video calls. It’s basically me looking at all this technology we have now and asking whether it can ever really fill the void when someone’s not there with you in person.”

‘Screentime‘ sees Bearcubs apply his trademark downbeat vocal atop intricate beats and melodies, creating a multi-textured sonnet, that is both beautiful and thought-provoking.
