FAIR GAME is a music producer, composer and sound designer out of Cape Town, South Africa. Describing himself as “an emotional music producer”, FAIR GAME’s creative output certainly demonstrates emotional sensibility and intelligence.

His latest release ‘Breathe’, premiering with The Playground, is lifted from FAIR GAME’s forthcoming EP Ode To My Youth, a collection of four meditative downtempo offerings. ‘Breathe’ opens with emotive piano chords and a warm guitar melody before FAIR GAME’s signature dusty, lo-fi hip-hop percussion and an ethereal vocal sample enter the mix, contributing to a wonderfully spacious and textured soundscape.

On the inspiration behind the track, FAIR GAME had the following to share “‘Breathe’ is a reminder to take a deep breath, go for a walk or take a nap when life gets overwhelming.”
